1예수께서 그리스도이심을 믿는 자마다 하나님께로서 난 자니 또한 내신 이를 사랑하는 자마다 그에게서 난 자를 사랑하느니라
BSBEveryone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves those born of Him.
KJVWhosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

5예수께서 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는 자가 아니면 세상을 이기는 자가 누구뇨

6이는 물과 피로 임하신 자니 곧 예수 그리스도시라 물로만 아니요 물과 피로 임하셨고
BSBThis is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ—not by water alone, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies to this, because the Spirit is the truth.
KJVThis is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

BSBEven if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son.
KJVIf we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

BSBWhoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.
KJVHe that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

BSBWhoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

BSBI have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

BSBAnd if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.
KJVAnd if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

16누구든지 형제가 사망에 이르지 아니한 죄 범하는 것을 보거든 구하라 그러면 사망에 이르지 아니하는 범죄자들을 위하여 저에게 생명을 주시리라 사망에 이르는 죄가 있으니 이에 대하여 나는 구하라 하지 않노라
BSBIf anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he should ask God, who will give life to those who commit this kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should ask regarding that sin.
KJVIf any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

BSBAll unrighteousness is sin, yet there is sin that does not lead to death.
KJVAll unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

18하나님께로서 난 자마다 범죄치 아니하는 줄을 우리가 아노라 하나님께로서 나신 자가 저를 지키시매 악한 자가 저를 만지지도 못하느니라
BSBWe know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; the One who was born of God protects him, and the evil one cannot touch him.
KJVWe know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

BSBAnd we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
KJVAnd we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
