1다윗이 놉에 가서 제사장 아히멜렉에게 이르니 아히멜렉이 떨며 다윗을 영접하며 그에게 이르되 어찌하여 네가 홀로 있고 함께 하는 자가 아무도 없느냐
BSBThen David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. And when Ahimelech met David, he trembled and asked him, “Why are you alone? Why is no one with you?”
KJVThen came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
영어 직역그때 다윗이 놉에 이르러 제사장 아히멜렉을 찾아갔다. 그리고 아히멜렉이 다윗의 만남을 보고 두려워했으며, 그에게 이르되, 당신이 혼자이고, 함께 한 사람이 없는 것은 어찜이뇨?
2다윗이 제사장 아히멜렉에게 이르되 왕이 내게 일을 명하고 이르시기를 내가 너를 보내는 바와 네게 명한 바 일의 아무 것이라도 사람에게 알게 하지 말라 하시기로 내가 나의 소년들을 여차여차한 곳으로 약정하였나이다
BSB“The king has given me a mission,” David replied. “He told me no one is to know about the mission or charge. And I have directed my young men to meet me at a certain place.
KJVAnd David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place.

BSBNow then, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever can be found.”
KJVNow therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.
영어 직역그러므로 이제 당신의 손 아래에 있는 것이 무엇이뇨? 내 손에 보리떡 다섯 개를 주던지, 있는 대로 있는 것을 주시오.
4제사장이 다윗에게 대답하여 가로되 항용 떡은 내 수중에 없으나 거룩한 떡은 있나니 그 소년들이 부녀를 가까이만 아니하였으면 주리라
BSB“There is no common bread on hand,” the priest replied, “but there is some consecrated bread—provided that the young men have kept themselves from women.”
KJVAnd the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
영어 직역그리고 제사장이 다윗에게 대답하여 이르되, 내 손 아래에 일반 떡은 없지마는, 거룩하게 한 떡이 있나니, 만약 그 청년들이 적어도 여자들로부터 자신을 지켰으면 하나이다.
5다윗이 제사장에게 대답하여 가로되 우리가 참으로 삼 일 동안이나 부녀를 가까이 하지 아니하였나이다 나의 떠난 길이 보통 여행이라도 소년들의 그릇이 성결하겠거든 하물며 오늘날 그들의 그릇이 성결치 아니하겠나이까 하매
BSBDavid answered, “Women have indeed been kept from us, as is usual when I set out. And the equipment of the young men is holy, as it is even on common missions, and all the more at this time.”
KJVAnd David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
영어 직역그리고 다윗이 제사장에게 대답하여 그에게 이르되, 진실로 여자들이 우리에게서 이 사흘 동안 끊어져 있었으니, 내가 나올 때부터이고, 그 청년들의 그릇들은 거룩하며, 그 떡은 일반적인 것인 바, 진실로 그것이 그 날 그 그릇 안에서 거룩하게 되었을지라도 그러하나이다.
6제사장이 그 거룩한 떡을 주었으니 거기는 진설병 곧 여호와 앞에서 물려 낸 떡밖에 없음이라 이 떡은 더운 떡을 드리는 날에 물려낸 것이더라
BSBSo the priest gave him the consecrated bread, since there was no bread there but the Bread of the Presence, which had been removed from before the LORD and replaced with hot bread on the day it was taken away.
KJVSo the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the Lord, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
영어 직역그러므로 제사장이 그에게 거룩하게 한 떡을 주었으니, 거기에 떡이 없었기 때문이라. 주 앞에서 가져온 진설떡뿐이었으니, 그것을 가져간 그 날에 뜨거운 떡을 놓기 위함이었도다.
7그 날에 사울의 신하 한 사람이 여호와 앞에 머물러 있었는데 그는 도엑이라 이름하는 에돔 사람이요 사울의 목자장이었더라
BSBNow one of Saul’s servants was there that day, detained before the LORD. And his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief shepherd for Saul.
KJVNow a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the Lord; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.

BSBThen David asked Ahimelech, “Is there not a spear or sword on hand here? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business was urgent.”
KJVAnd David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.

BSBThe priest replied, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here; it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want, you may take it. For there is no other but this one.” And David said, “There is none like it; give it to me.”
KJVAnd the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.

BSBBut the servants of Achish said to him, “Is this not David, the king of the land? Did they not sing about him in their dances, saying: ‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands’?”
KJVAnd the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

BSBSo he changed his behavior before them and feigned madness in their hands; he scratched on the doors of the gate and let his saliva run down his beard.
KJVAnd he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.

15내게 미치광이가 부족하여서 너희가 이 자를 데려다가 내 앞에서 미친 짓을 하게 하느냐 이 자가 어찌 내 집에 들어오겠느냐 하니라
BSBAm I in need of madmen, that you have brought this man to rave in my presence? Must this man come into my house?”
KJVHave I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
