1우리가 다시 자천하기를 시작하겠느냐 우리가 어찌 어떤 사람처럼 천거서를 너희에게 부치거나 혹 너희에게 맡거나 할 필요가 있느냐
BSBAre we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you?
KJVDo we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

BSBYou yourselves are our letter, inscribed on our hearts, known and read by everyone.
KJVYe are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

BSBIt is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
KJVForasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

5우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 생각하여 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님께로서 났느니라
BSBNot that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.
KJVNot that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
영어 직역우리가 우리 자신으로부터 어떤 것을 생각할 만큼 우리 자신으로부터 충분한 것이 아니라, 오직 우리의 충분함은 하나님으로부터이다.
6저가 또 우리로 새 언약의 일꾼 되기에 만족케 하셨으니 의문으로 하지 아니하고 오직 영으로 함이니 의문은 죽이는 것이요 영은 살리는 것임이니라
BSBAnd He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
KJVWho also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
영어 직역그분이 또한 우리를 새 언약의 능한 사역자들이 되게 하셨으니, 글자의 사역자가 아니라 영의 사역자이다. 왜냐하면 글자는 죽이지만 영은 생명을 주기 때문이다.
7돌에 써서 새긴 죽게 하는 의문의 직분도 영광이 있어 이스라엘 자손들이 모세의 얼굴의 없어질 영광을 인하여 그 얼굴을 주목하지 못하였거든
BSBNow if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory,
KJVBut if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
영어 직역만일 죽음의 사역이 돌에 기록되고 새겨져서 영광스러웠으므로, 이스라엘 자녀들이 모세의 얼굴의 영광으로 인해 모세의 얼굴을 정시해 볼 수 없었고, 그 영광은 없어질 것이었다면,
8하물며 영의 직분이 더욱 영광이 있지 아니하겠느냐
BSBwill not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
KJVHow shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

9정죄의 직분도 영광이 있은즉 의의 직분은 영광이 더욱 넘치리라
BSBFor if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness!
KJVFor if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

10영광되었던 것이 더 큰 영광을 인하여 이에 영광될 것이 없으나
BSBIndeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it.
KJVFor even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

11없어질 것도 영광으로 말미암았은즉 길이 있을 것은 더욱 영광 가운데 있느니라
BSBFor if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!
KJVFor if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

12우리가 이같은 소망이 있으므로 담대히 말하노니
BSBTherefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
KJVSeeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

13우리는 모세가 이스라엘 자손들로 장차 없어질 것의 결국을 주목치 못하게 하려고 수건을 그 얼굴에 쓴 것 같이 아니하노라
BSBWe are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away.
KJVAnd not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
영어 직역그리고 모세처럼 하지 아니하였으니, 그는 자기 얼굴 위에 수건을 씌웠으므로 이스라엘 자녀들이 폐지될 것의 끝을 정시해 볼 수 없었다.
14그러나 저희 마음이 완고하여 오늘까지라도 구약을 읽을 때에 그 수건이 오히려 벗어지지 아니하고 있으니 그 수건은 그리스도 안에서 없어질 것이라
BSBBut their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed.
KJVBut their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
영어 직역그러나 그들의 마음이 둔해졌으니, 이 날까지도 같은 수건이 구약 읽음에 있어서 벗겨지지 아니하고 남아 있으니, 그 수건이 그리스도 안에서 없어지는 것이다.
15오늘까지 모세의 글을 읽을 때에 수건이 오히려 그 마음을 덮었도다

KJVNow the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 저와 같은 형상으로 화하여 영광으로 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라
BSBAnd we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
KJVBut we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
