1나 다니엘에게 처음에 나타난 이상 후 벨사살 왕 삼년에 다시 이상이 나타나니라
BSBIn the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared to me, Daniel, subsequent to the one that had appeared to me earlier.
KJVIn the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
영어 직역벨사살 왕이 다스린 제 삼 년에 내게, 곧 나 다니엘에게 한 시현이 나타났으니, 처음에 내게 나타났던 것 후에라.
2내가 이상을 보았는데 내가 그것을 볼 때에 내 몸은 엘람도 수산 성에 있었고 내가 이상을 보기는 을래 강변에서니라
BSBAnd in the vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa, in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal.
KJVAnd I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
영어 직역그리고 나는 시현 중에서 보았으니, 내가 볼 때에 일이 되어 나는 엘람 지방에 있는 수산 궁전에 있었고, 나는 시현 중에서 보았으며 나는 울래 강 곁에 있었다.
3내가 눈을 들어본즉 강 가에 두 뿔 가진 수양이 섰는데 그 두 뿔이 다 길어도 한 뿔은 다른 뿔보다도 길었고 그 긴 것은 나중에 난 것이더라
BSBThen I lifted up my eyes and saw a ram with two horns standing beside the canal. The horns were long, but one was longer than the other, and the longer one grew up later.
KJVThen I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
영어 직역그때 나는 내 눈을 들어 보았고, 보니 강 앞에 두 뿔을 가진 한 수양이 서 있었으니, 그 두 뿔은 높았으되 하나는 다른 하나보다 더 높았으며 더 높은 것이 뒤에 나왔다.
4내가 본즉 그 수양이 서와 북과 남을 향하여 받으나 그것을 당할 짐승이 하나도 없고 그 손에서 능히 구할 이가 절대로 없으므로 그것이 임의로 행하고 스스로 강대하더라
BSBI saw the ram charging toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against him, and there was no deliverance from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.
KJVI saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

BSBAs I was contemplating all this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came out of the west, crossing the surface of the entire earth without touching the ground.
KJVAnd as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

BSBHe came toward the two-horned ram I had seen standing beside the canal and rushed at him with furious power.
KJVAnd he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
영어 직역그리고 그것이 강 앞에 서 있던 것을 본 두 뿔을 가진 그 수양에게로 와서, 그것의 힘의 노여움으로 그것에게로 달려갔다.
7내가 본즉 그것이 수양에게로 가까이 나아가서는 더욱 성내어 그 수양을 쳐서 그 두 뿔을 꺾으나 수양에게는 그것을 대적할 힘이 없으므로 그것이 수양을 땅에 엎드러뜨리고 짓밟았으나 능히 수양을 그 손에서 벗어나게 할 이가 없었더라
BSBI saw him approach the ram in a rage against him, and he struck the ram and shattered his two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against him, and the goat threw him to the ground and trampled him, and no one could deliver the ram from his power.
KJVAnd I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

BSBThus the goat became very great, but at the height of his power, his large horn was broken off, and four prominent horns came up in its place, pointing toward the four winds of heaven.
KJVTherefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
영어 직역그러므로 그 수염소는 매우 크게 되었으나, 그것이 강해졌을 때에 그 큰 뿔이 부러졌으며, 그것을 위해 네 개의 주목할 만한 것들이 하늘의 네 바람을 향해 일어났다.
9그 중 한 뿔에서 또 작은 뿔 하나가 나서 남편과 동편과 또 영화로운 땅을 향하여 심히 커지더니
BSBFrom one of these horns a little horn emerged and grew extensively toward the south and the east and toward the Beautiful Land.
KJVAnd out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

BSBIt grew as high as the host of heaven, and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the earth, and trampled them.
KJVAnd it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

BSBIt magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host; it removed His daily sacrifice and overthrew the place of His sanctuary.
KJVYea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

BSBAnd in the rebellion, the host and the daily sacrifice were given over to the horn, and it flung truth to the ground and prospered in whatever it did.
KJVAnd an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

13내가 들은즉 거룩한 자가 말하더니 다른 거룩한 자가 그 말하는 자에게 묻되 이상에 나타난 바 매일 드리는 제사와 망하게 하는 죄악에 대한 일과 성소와 백성이 내어준 바 되며 짓밟힐 일이 어느 때까지 이를꼬 하매
BSBThen I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, “How long until the fulfillment of the vision of the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host to be trampled?”
KJVThen I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
영어 직역그때 내가 한 성자가 말하는 것을 들었고, 또 다른 성자가 말한 그 특정한 성자에게 말하여 이르되, 매일의 제사와 황폐함의 위반에 관한 그 시현이 얼마나 오래 될 것인가, 성소와 군대 둘 다를 발로 밟히게 하려 함이냐?
14그가 내게 이르되 이천삼백 주야까지니 그 때에 성소가 정결하게 함을 입으리라 하였느니라
BSBHe said to me, “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be properly restored.”
KJVAnd he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

15나 다니엘이 이 이상을 보고 그 뜻을 알고자 할 때에 사람 모양 같은 것이 내 앞에 섰고
BSBWhile I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there stood before me one having the appearance of a man.
KJVAnd it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

16내가 들은즉 을래 강 두 언덕 사이에서 사람의 목소리가 있어 외쳐 이르되 가브리엘아 이 이상을 이 사람에게 깨닫게 하라 하더니
BSBAnd I heard the voice of a man calling from between the banks of the Ulai: “Gabriel, explain the vision to this man.”
KJVAnd I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
영어 직역그리고 나는 울래 강둑 사이에서 한 사람의 음성을 들었으니, 그것이 부르며 말하되, 가브리엘이여, 이 사람이 그 시현을 깨닫게 하라.
17그가 나의 선 곳으로 나아왔는데 그 나아올 때에 내가 두려워서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드리매 그가 내게 이르되 인자야 깨달아 알라 이 이상은 정한 때 끝에 관한 것이니라
BSBAs he came near to where I stood, I was terrified and fell facedown. “Son of man,” he said to me, “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”
KJVSo he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

BSBWhile he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep, with my face to the ground. Then he touched me, helped me to my feet,
KJVNow as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
영어 직역이제 그것이 나와 함께 말하고 있을 때에 나는 깊은 잠이 들어 내 얼굴을 땅을 향해 엎드렸으나, 그것이 나를 만졌고, 나를 세워 일으켰다.
19가로되 진노하시는 때가 마친 후에 될 일을 내가 네게 알게 하리니 이 이상은 정한 때 끝에 관한 일임이니라
BSBand said, “Behold, I will make known to you what will happen in the latter time of wrath, because it concerns the appointed time of the end.
KJVAnd he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

20네가 본 바 두 뿔 가진 수양은 곧 메대와 바사 왕들이요
BSBThe two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia.
KJVThe ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

21털이 많은 수염소는 곧 헬라 왕이요 두 눈 사이에 있는 큰 뿔은 곧 그 첫째 왕이요
BSBThe shaggy goat represents the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king.
KJVAnd the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

BSBThe four horns that replaced the broken one represent four kingdoms that will rise from that nation, but will not have the same power.
KJVNow that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

BSBIn the latter part of their reign, when the rebellion has reached its full measure, an insolent king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne.
KJVAnd in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

BSBHis power will be great, but it will not be his own. He will cause terrible destruction and succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men along with the holy people.
KJVAnd his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

BSBThrough his craft and by his hand, he will cause deceit to prosper, and in his own mind he will make himself great. In a time of peace he will destroy many, and he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken off, but not by human hands.
KJVAnd through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

BSBThe vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been spoken is true. Now you must seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”
KJVAnd the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

27이에 나 다니엘이 혼절하여 수일을 앓다가 일어나서 왕의 일을 보았느니라 내가 그 이상을 인하여 놀랐고 그 뜻을 깨닫는 사람도 없었느니라
BSBI, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was confounded by the vision; it was beyond understanding.
KJVAnd I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
