KJVSon of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?

3그 나무를 가지고 무엇을 제조할 수 있겠느냐 그것으로 무슨 그릇을 걸 못을 만들 수 있겠느냐

BSBCan wood be taken from it to make something useful? Or can one make from it a peg on which to hang utensils?

KJVShall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

BSBNo, it is cast into the fire for fuel. The fire devours both ends, and the middle is charred. Can it be useful for anything?

KJVBehold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?

영어 직역보라, 그것이 땔나무로 불에 던져지니 불이 그것의 양 끝을 삼키고, 그 중간이 타버린다. 어떤 일에 합당한가?

5그것이 온전할 때에도 아무 제조에 합당치 않았거든 하물며 불에 살라지고 탄 후에 어찌 제조에 합당하겠느냐

BSBEven when it was whole, it could not be made useful. How much less can it ever be useful when the fire has consumed it and charred it!

KJVBehold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?

BSBTherefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give up the people of Jerusalem.

KJVTherefore thus saith the Lord God; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

영어 직역그러므로 주 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 땔나무로 불에 준 숲의 포도나무들처럼, 내가 예루살렘의 주민들을 이같이 주리라.

7내가 그들을 대적한즉 그들이 그 불에서 나와도 불이 그들을 사르리니 내가 그들을 대적할 때에 너희가 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라

BSBAnd I will set My face against them. Though they may have escaped the fire, yet another fire will consume them. And when I set My face against them, you will know that I am the LORD.

KJVAnd I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them.

BSBThus I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully,’ declares the Lord GOD.”

KJVAnd I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord God.
