1요시야의 아들 시드기야가 여호야김의 아들 고니야를 대신하여 왕이 되었으니 이는 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 그로 유다 땅의 왕을 삼음이었더라

KJVAnd king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.

BSB“This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says that you are to tell the king of Judah, who sent you to Me: Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which has marched out to help you, will go back to its own land of Egypt.
KJVThus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.

9나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 스스로 속여 말하기를 갈대아인이 반드시 우리를 떠나리라 하지 말라 그들이 떠나지 아니하리라
BSBThis is what the LORD says: Do not deceive yourselves by saying, ‘The Chaldeans will go away for good,’ for they will not!
KJVThus saith the Lord; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.
영어 직역주가 이와 같이 말하노라. 너희 자신을 속이지 말라, 갈대아인들이 정녕히 우리에게서 떠날 것이라 말하지 말라. 그들이 떠나지 아니할 것이기 때문이다.
10가령 너희가 너희를 치는 갈대아인의 온 군대를 쳐서 그 중에 부상자만 남긴다 할지라도 그들이 각기 장막에서 일어나 이 성을 불사르리라
BSBIndeed, if you were to strike down the entire army of the Chaldeans that is fighting against you, and only wounded men remained in their tents, they would still get up and burn this city down.”
KJVFor though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.

BSBLater, King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah and received him in his palace, where he asked him privately, “Is there a word from the LORD?” “There is,” Jeremiah replied. “You will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”
KJVThen Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

20내 주 왕이여 이제 청컨대 나를 들으시며 나의 탄원을 받으사 나를 서기관 요나단의 집으로 돌려 보내지 마옵소서 내가 거기서 죽을까 두려워하나이다
BSBBut now please listen, O my lord the king. May my petition come before you. Do not send me back to the house of Jonathan the scribe, or I will die there.”
KJVTherefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.

BSBSo King Zedekiah gave orders for Jeremiah to be placed in the courtyard of the guard and given a loaf of bread daily from the street of the bakers, until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard.
KJVThen Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
