1욥이 또 비사를 들어 가로되
BSBAnd Job continued his discourse:
KJVMoreover Job continued his parable, and said,

2내가 이전 달과 하나님이 나를 보호하시던 날에 지내던 것 같이 되었으면
BSB“How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me,

3그 때는 그의 등불이 내 머리에 비취었고 내가 그 광명을 힘입어 흑암에 행하였었느니라
BSBwhen His lamp shone above my head, and by His light I walked through the darkness,
KJVWhen his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;

7그 때는 내가 나가서 성문에 이르기도 하며 내 자리를 거리에 베풀기도 하였었느니라

8나를 보고 소년들은 숨으며 노인들은 일어나서 서며

BSBFor those who heard me called me blessed, and those who saw me commended me,
KJVWhen the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:

KJVBecause I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.

13망하게 된 자도 나를 위하여 복을 빌었으며 과부의 마음이 나로 인하여 기뻐 노래하였었느니라
BSBThe dying man blessed me, and I made the widow’s heart sing for joy.
KJVThe blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
영어 직역멸망하려 하던 자의 축복이 나 위에 내렸고: 그리고 나는 과부의 마음으로 기쁨 때문에 노래하게 했도다.
14내가 의로 옷을 삼아 입었으며 나의 공의는 도포와 면류관 같았었느니라
BSBI put on righteousness, and it clothed me; justice was my robe and my turban.
KJVI put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

15나는 소경의 눈도 되고 절뚝발이의 발도 되고
BSBI served as eyes to the blind and as feet to the lame.

KJVThen I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.

19내 뿌리는 물로 뻗어나가고 내 가지는 밤이 맞도록 이슬에 젖으며
BSBMy roots will spread out to the waters, and the dew will rest nightly on my branches.
KJVMy root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.

24그들이 의지 없을 때에 내가 함소하여 동정하면 그들이 나의 얼굴 빛을 무색하게 아니하였었느니라
BSBIf I smiled at them, they did not believe it; the light of my countenance was precious.
KJVIf I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.

BSBI chose their course and presided as chief. So I dwelt as a king among his troops, as a comforter of the mourners.
KJVI chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners.
