1또 하루는 하나님의 아들들이 와서 여호와 앞에 서고 사단도 그들 가운데 와서 여호와 앞에 서니
BSBOn another day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them to present himself before Him.
KJVAgain there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.
영어 직역또다시 하나님의 아들들이 주 앞에 자신들을 나타내러 온 날이 있었고, 사탄도 그들 중에 와서 주 앞에 자신을 나타내었다.
2여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 네가 어디서 왔느냐 사단이 여호와께 대답하여 가로되 땅에 두루 돌아 여기 저기 다녀왔나이다
BSB“Where have you come from?” said the LORD to Satan. “From roaming through the earth,” he replied, “and walking back and forth in it.”
KJVAnd the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
영어 직역주가 사탄에게 말씀하셨다, 어디서 왔느냐고 하시니, 사탄이 주께 대답하여 말하였다, 땅을 왕래하며 그것을 돌아다니는 데서 왔다고 하였다.
3여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 네가 내 종 욥을 유의하여 보았느냐 그와 같이 순전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하며 악에서 떠난 자가 세상에 없느니라 네가 나를 격동하여 까닭없이 그를 치게 하였어도 그가 오히려 자기의 순전을 굳게 지켰느니라
BSBThen the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.”
KJVAnd the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
영어 직역주가 사탄에게 말씀하셨다, 내 종 욥을 살펴보았는가, 땅에 그와 같은 자가 없나니, 완전하고 정직한 자요 하나님을 경외하며 악을 버리는 자가 아닌가, 그리고 그는 여전히 자신의 성실함을 굳게 지키고 있다, 비록 너는 내가 그를 대항하게 하여 까닭 없이 그를 파멸시키려 하였으나.
4사단이 여호와께 대답하여 가로되 가죽으로 가죽을 바꾸오니 사람이 그 모든 소유물로 자기의 생명을 바꾸올지라
BSB“Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give up all he owns in exchange for his life.
KJVAnd Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
영어 직역사탄이 주께 대답하여 말하였다, 가죽을 위해 가죽이니, 참으로 사람이 가지고 있는 모든 것을 그는 자기 목숨을 위해 줄 것이라고 하였다.
5이제 주의 손을 펴서 그의 뼈와 살을 치소서 그리하시면 정녕 대면하여 주를 욕하리이다
BSBBut stretch out Your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse You to Your face.”
KJVBut put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

6여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 내가 그를 네 손에 붙이노라 오직 그의 생명은 해하지 말지니라
BSB“Very well,” said the LORD to Satan. “He is in your hands, but you must spare his life.”
KJVAnd the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
영어 직역주가 사탄에게 말씀하셨다, 보거라, 그는 네 손에 있노니, 다만 그의 목숨을 보존하라.
7사단이 이에 여호와 앞에서 물러가서 욥을 쳐서 그 발바닥에서 정수리까지 악창이 나게 한지라
BSBSo Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and infected Job with terrible boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.
KJVSo went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

8욥이 재 가운데 앉아서 기와 조각을 가져다가 몸을 긁고 있더니
BSBAnd Job took a piece of broken pottery to scrape himself as he sat among the ashes.
KJVAnd he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

9그 아내가 그에게 이르되 당신이 그래도 자기의 순전을 굳게 지키느뇨 하나님을 욕하고 죽으라
BSBThen Job’s wife said to him, “Do you still retain your integrity? Curse God and die!”
KJVThen said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.
영어 직역그때 그의 아내가 그에게 말하였다, 네가 여전히 네 성실함을 지키는가, 하나님을 저주하고 죽어라.
10그가 이르되 그대의 말이 어리석은 여자 중 하나의 말 같도다 우리가 하나님께 복을 받았은즉 재앙도 받지 아니하겠느뇨 하고 이 모든 일에 욥이 입술로 범죄치 아니하니라
BSB“You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her. “Should we accept from God only good and not adversity?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
KJVBut he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
영어 직역그러나 그가 그녀에게 말하였다, 너는 미련한 여인들 중 하나처럼 말하는도다. 어떠한가, 우리가 하나님의 손에서 선한 것을 받을진대, 악한 것도 받지 아니하겠는가, 이 모든 일에서 욥이 그의 입술로 죄를 짓지 아니하였다.

BSBNow when Job’s three friends—Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite—heard about all this adversity that had come upon him, each of them came from his home, and they met together to go and sympathize with Job and comfort him.
KJVNow when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

BSBWhen they lifted up their eyes from afar, they could barely recognize Job. They began to weep aloud, and each man tore his robe and threw dust in the air over his head.
KJVAnd when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.

KJVSo they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
