1예수께서 바다 건너편 거라사인의 지방에 이르러
BSBOn the other side of the sea, they arrived in the region of the Gerasenes.
KJVAnd they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

BSBAs soon as Jesus got out of the boat, He was met by a man with an unclean spirit, who was coming from the tombs.
KJVAnd when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

BSBThis man had been living in the tombs and could no longer be restrained, even with chains.
KJVWho had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

BSBThough he was often bound with chains and shackles, he had broken the chains and shattered the shackles. Now there was no one with the strength to subdue him.
KJVBecause that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

BSBWhen the man saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees before Him.
KJVBut when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

BSBAnd he shouted in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You before God not to torture me!”
KJVAnd cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

BSB“What is your name?” Jesus asked. “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.”
KJVAnd he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

KJVAnd he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

BSBThere on the nearby hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding.
KJVNow there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

12이에 간구하여 가로되 우리를 돼지에게로 보내어 들어가게 하소서 하니
BSBSo the demons begged Jesus, “Send us to the pigs, so that we may enter them.”
KJVAnd all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

13허락하신대 더러운 귀신들이 나와서 돼지에게로 들어가니 거의 이천 마리 되는 떼가 바다를 향하여 비탈로 내리달아 바다에서 몰사하거늘
BSBHe gave them permission, and the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs, and the herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the water.
KJVAnd forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

KJVAnd they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

15예수께 이르러 그 귀신 들렸던 자 곧 군대 지폈던 자가 옷을 입고 정신이 온전하여 앉은 것을 보고 두려워하더라
BSBWhen they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
KJVAnd they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

KJVAnd they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

KJVAnd they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

BSBAs He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by the demons begged to go with Him.
KJVAnd when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

BSBBut Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.”
KJVHowbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

KJVAnd he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

BSBWhen Jesus had again crossed by boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him beside the sea.
KJVAnd when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

KJVAnd, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

BSBand pleaded with Him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Please come and place Your hands on her, so that she will be healed and live.”
KJVAnd besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

BSBShe had borne much agony under the care of many physicians and had spent all she had, but to no avail. Instead, her condition had only grown worse.
KJVAnd had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

BSBWhen the woman heard about Jesus, she came up through the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.
KJVWhen she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

BSBImmediately her bleeding stopped, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
KJVAnd straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

BSBAt once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked, “Who touched My garments?”
KJVAnd Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

BSB“Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”

BSBWhile He was still speaking, messengers from the house of Jairus arrived and said, “Your daughter is dead; why bother the Teacher anymore?”
KJVWhile he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

KJVAnd he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

BSBHe went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.”
KJVAnd when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

BSBAnd they laughed at Him. After He had put them all outside, He took the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and went in to see the child.
KJVAnd they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

BSBTaking her by the hand, Jesus said, “Talitha koum!” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”
KJVAnd he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

BSBImmediately the girl got up and began to walk around. She was twelve years old, and at once they were utterly astounded.
KJVAnd straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

43예수께서 이 일을 아무도 알지 못하게 하라고 저희를 많이 경계하시고 이에 소녀에게 먹을 것을 주라 하시니라
BSBThen Jesus gave strict orders that no one should know about this, and He told them to give her something to eat.
KJVAnd he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
