1요셉 자손의 자손 중 므낫세의 손자 마길의 아들 길르앗 자손 가족의 두령들이 나아와 모세와 이스라엘 자손의 두령 된 족장들 앞에 말하여
BSBNow the family heads of the clan of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh, one of the clans of Joseph, approached Moses and the leaders who were the heads of the Israelite families and addressed them,
KJVAnd the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel:
영어 직역그리고 길르앗의 자손들의 가족들의 족장들이 와서, 모세 앞에, 그리고 이스라엘의 자손들의 족장인 고관들 앞에서 말했다.
2가로되 여호와께서 우리 주에게 명하사 이스라엘 자손에게 그 기업의 땅을 제비 뽑아 주게 하셨고 여호와께서 또 우리 주에게 명하사 우리 형제 슬로브핫의 기업으로 그 딸들에게 주게 하셨은즉
BSBsaying, “When the LORD commanded my lord to give the land as an inheritance to the Israelites by lot, He also commanded him to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.
KJVAnd they said, The Lord commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.
영어 직역그리고 그들이 말했다, 주께서 내 주인에게 그 땅을 제비뽑아 이스라엘의 자손들에게 기업으로 주라고 명령하셨다. 그리고 내 주인이 우리 형 슬로브핫의 기업을 그의 딸들에게 주라고 주께서 명령받았다.
3그들이 만일 이스라엘 자손의 다른 지파 남자들에게 시집가면 그들의 기업은 우리 조상의 기업에서 감삭되고 그들의 속할 그 지파의 기업에 첨가되리니 그러면 우리 제비 뽑은 기업에서 감삭될 것이요
BSBBut if they marry any of the men from the other tribes of Israel, their inheritance will be withdrawn from the portion of our fathers and added to the tribe into which they marry. So our allotted inheritance would be taken away.
KJVAnd if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.

4이스라엘 자손의 희년을 당하여 그 기업이 그가 속한 지파에 첨가될 것이라 그런즉 그들의 기업은 우리 조상 지파의 기업에서 아주 감삭되리이다
BSBAnd when the Jubilee for the Israelites comes, their inheritance will be added to the tribe into which they marry and taken away from the tribe of our fathers.”
KJVAnd when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
영어 직역그리고 이스라엘의 자손들의 희년이 될 때, 그러면 그들의 기업이 그들이 받은 지파의 기업에 붙여질 것이다. 그러면 그들의 기업이 우리 아버지들의 지파의 기업에서 빼앗길 것이다.
5모세가 여호와의 말씀으로 이스라엘에게 명하여 가로되 요셉 자손 지파의 말이 옳도다
BSBSo at the word of the LORD, Moses commanded the Israelites: “The tribe of the sons of Joseph speaks correctly.
KJVAnd Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the Lord, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph hath said well.
영어 직역그리고 모세가 주의 말씀을 따라 이스라엘의 자손들에게 명령했다. 요셉의 아들들의 지파가 잘 말했다.
6슬로브핫의 딸들에게 대한 여호와의 명이 이러하니라 이르시되 슬로브핫의 딸들은 마음대로 시집가려니와 오직 그 조상 지파의 가족에게로만 시집갈지니
BSBThis is what the LORD has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad: They may marry anyone they please, provided they marry within a clan of the tribe of their father.
KJVThis is the thing which the Lord doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.
영어 직역이것이 슬로브핫의 딸들에 대해 주께서 명령하시는 것이다. 그들이 자신들이 최선이라고 생각하는 자에게 혼인하도록 하라. 다만 그들의 아버지의 지파의 가족에게만 혼인하라.
7그리하면 이스라엘 자손의 기업이 이 지파에서 저 지파로 옮기지 않고 이스라엘 자손이 다 각기 조상 지파의 기업을 지킬 것이니라 하셨나니
BSBNo inheritance in Israel may be transferred from tribe to tribe, because each of the Israelites is to retain the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
KJVSo shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
영어 직역그러면 이스라엘의 자손들의 기업이 지파에서 지파로 옮겨가지 아니할 것이다. 이는 이스라엘의 자손들 각각이 자기 아버지들의 지파의 기업을 지키기 때문이다.
8이스라엘 자손의 지파 중 무릇 그 기업을 이은 딸들은 자기 조상 지파 가족되는 사람에게로 시집갈 것이라 그리하면 이스라엘 자손이 각기 조상의 기업을 보존하게 되어서
BSBEvery daughter who possesses an inheritance from any Israelite tribe must marry within a clan of the tribe of her father, so that every Israelite will possess the inheritance of his fathers.
KJVAnd every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.
영어 직역그리고 이스라엘의 자손들의 어느 지파든 기업을 소유하는 모든 딸은, 자신의 아버지의 지파의 가족의 한 사람의 아내가 될 것이다. 그러면 이스라엘의 자손들이 각각 자기 아버지들의 기업을 누릴 것이다.
9그 기업으로 이 지파에서 저 지파로 옮기게 하지 아니하고 이스라엘 자손 지파가 각각 자기 기업을 지키리라
BSBNo inheritance may be transferred from one tribe to another, for each tribe of Israel must retain its inheritance.”
KJVNeither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.

BSBSo the daughters of Zelophehad did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
KJVEven as the Lord commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:

BSBMahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to cousins on their father’s side.
KJVFor Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father’s brothers’ sons:

BSBThey married within the clans of the descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained within the tribe of their father’s clan.
KJVAnd they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

BSBThese are the commandments and ordinances that the LORD gave the Israelites through Moses on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
KJVThese are the commandments and the judgments, which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
