BSBIn the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.

KJVAnd it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;

BSB“Ask all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for these seventy years, was it really for Me that you fasted?

KJVSpeak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?

영어 직역그 땅의 모든 백성과 제사장들에게 말하여 이르되, 너희가 5월과 7월에 금식하고 애곡했을 때, 저 70년 동안에도, 너희가 참으로 나를 위해 금식했는가? 나를 위해?

BSBAnd when you were eating and drinking, were you not doing so simply for yourselves?

KJVAnd when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

BSB“This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Administer true justice. Show loving devotion and compassion to one another.

KJVThus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

영어 직역만군의 주가 이같이 말하여 이르되, 참된 판단을 집행하고, 자비와 동정을 각각의 사람이 자기 형제에게 나타내라.

BSBDo not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’

KJVAnd oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

영어 직역그리고 과부를 학대하지 말며, 고아와 낯선 자와 가난한 자를 학대하지 말라. 그리고 너희 중 누구든 자기 형제에게 악을 마음속에 생각하지 말라.

BSBBut they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they stopped up their ears from hearing.

KJVBut they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

영어 직역그러나 그들이 듣기를 거절하고 어깨를 빼었으며, 그들의 귀를 막았다. 그들이 듣지 아니하기 위함이었다.

BSBThey made their hearts like flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the LORD of Hosts had sent by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of Hosts.

KJVYea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.

BSBAnd just as I had called and they would not listen, so when they called I would not listen, says the LORD of Hosts.

KJVTherefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:

BSBBut I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known, and the land was left desolate behind them so that no one could come or go. Thus they turned the pleasant land into a desolation.”

KJVBut I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

영어 직역그러나 나는 그들을 회오리바람으로 그들이 알지 못했던 모든 민족들 중에 흩었다. 이같이 그 땅은 그들 뒤에 황폐해졌다. 사람이 왕래하지 못하고 돌아오지 못했다. 그들이 그 아름다운 땅을 황폐하게 했기 때문이다.
